Two years after entering the Uganda Microfinance Market, the Rural Finance Initiative -RUFI has opened her 3rd Branch in Uganda. This follows in the footsteps on Koboko and Morobi Refugees Settlement Branches. This initiative was possible thanks to support from the Church of Sweden through the Netherlands Platform for Inclusive Finance and linkages from our long term partner Cordaid.

As the new branch we offer financial services to refugees and host communities in and around Adjumani District. Refugee Settlements like Pagirinya, Maaji and the rest can now get financial services from the branch through our outreach services. We already offer loans of different categories to the refugees both in settlements and the self-settled.

We welcome partnership from like-minded entities who want to prove that finance for refugees is simply hampered by ignorance other than the fears of flight, business collapse and lack of collateral.
